We’ve all heard the phrase “it’s all about who you know”. That is certainly true within Te Tairāwhiti. Tāiki e! and the Gisborne Chamber of Commerce are hosting a fun filled business speed networking event to help create connections and opportunities for locals.

It's like speed dating, but for business networking. This is a chance for people to have a bit of fun and meet other people within a friendly environment, which is great for boosting professional networks, generating new business leads and finding other skills and wisdom within the community.

Anyone can participate in the event, including students, budding and established entrepreneurs and just anyone else interested in meeting new people and building their networks. Entry is koha.

OUTSIDE THE VALLEY

Outside the Valley follows J. Ryan and Hunter as they travel to Portugal, Uruguay, New Zealand, and Mexico to learn about startup ecosystems outside of Silicon Valley. Told through the lives of founders who are trying to build great companies, coronavirus strikes and tests everyone’s resolve.

The filmmakers talk with many VCs, consultants and founders, but the story focuses around a main character founder or two in each country. This film has only just been released worldwide so come along and check it out.
